Cricketer-turned-expert Stuart Broad has blasted the International Cricket Council (ICC) for a lack of consistency when it comes to giving penalties to players for breaching the Code of Conduct. The former England pacer gave his two cents on ICC docking 15% of Siraj's match fees for giving a fiery send-off to England opener Ben Duckett on Day four of the third Lord's Test. However, while the India pacer was fined, the team's skipper, Shubman Gill was let go without any penalty despite being spotted in an animated chat with Zak Crawley.
Gill was also spotted swearing on live television after the England opener was seen what looked like wasting time at the end of Day three's play. The stump mic caught the India skipper saying to Crawley, "Grow some f******* b***s after the lanky batter wasted time to ensure the visitors didn't bowl an extra over. India carried the same intensity on Day four, as all the bowlers led Siraj, Sundar, Akash Deep and Reddy were charged up.

Only Siraj got fined, and Broad did not like ICC not docking Gill's points, stating "consistency is key" and the punishment should be equal for everyone if they breach the ICC Code of Conduct.

“Find this ridiculous. Siraj 15% for aggressive celebration. Shubman Gill swears live on TV & carries on, and what? It’s either both or neither. Players aren’t and shouldn’t be robots, but consistency is key,” Broad wrote on X (formerly Twitter).
